I am not currently working in disability, can I apply?
Yes, if you are interested in working in the industry, we encourage you to apply.
I haven’t completed any previous tertiary study; am I still eligible?
Each application will be assessed individually. You will need to meet UNE’s entry requirements and prove that you have the skills and ability to complete the course.
I am not an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person; can I still apply?
No, this scholarship is only open to Indigenous Australians. The aim is to build the skills of the Indigenous workforce to enable them to deliver culturally appropriate disability support.
Is the UNE Graduate Certificate in NDIS Business Development course only open to Indigenous students?
No, the UNE course is open to everyone. It is only the Growing Potential Scholarship that is offered to Indigenous students.
I don’t live in Sydney; am I eligible?
Yes, UNE is an online university, so anyone with an internet connection can study the course. Travel and accommodation for events you’re required to attend as part of the Growing Potential Scholarship will be covered.
I am already enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in NDIS Business Development at UNE; am I eligible to apply?
Yes, you are eligible to apply. If you are the successful applicant, we will cover the rest of your fees for the remainder of your course.
I am currently studying a similar course at a different university; can I apply for the Scholarship and will I get credits for the Units already studied towards the current course.
Yes, as above, you are eligible to apply. You will need to contact Student Services to find out if your current study is applicable for credit towards the units offered in the UNE course.
