Empowering services to help people thrive
Growing the potential of children, families and the community
For 70 years Growing Potential has been dedicated to providing not-for-profit services to the community. Our focus is helping those who need it most. Our strength is in our experience – we’re big enough to offer a wide range of services, but small enough to offer a personal touch to all of our clients.
Empowering your mob and the local community with services run by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Ngallu Wal Aboriginal Child & Family Centre is located in Doonside, NSW and provides a range of support services to the local community.
Windaan is a new community and health service located in Coffs Harbour, servicing the Mid North Coast. Windaan was created to help and support Aboriginal children, families and the community by providing culturally appropriate NDIS and early childhood intervention services.
This is where it all began – in Blacktown in 1948. We’re still a proud community, not-for-profit organisation providing meaningful child care services to grow the potential of children so they can create a better future for themselves and their community.
We now have six Children First sites including preschools, long day care centres, occasional care, as well as outside school hours and vacation care.
Ngallu Wal also hosts Yawarra, an Aboriginal child care centre for children 0-6 years old.
EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION SERVICES
Growing Early Minds provides early childhood intervention services for children with a range of developmental delays, concerns and disabilities.
Growing Early Minds also incorporates two community services, Familylinks and Mobile Community Hub, who can help identify disability and developmental delays at their family support services in the greater Blacktown area.

Supporting families and the community with play groups, free parenting programs, learning and developmental checks.

Mobile Community Hub includes a range of programs, which focus on building meaningful interactions between child and caregiver, as well as focus on health and wellbeing.
Riverstone Neighbourhood Centre offers a wide range of services and activities for family and community connections as well as ageing, disability and wellness services.
Ngallu Wal provides a comprehensive range of weekly programs and events as part of our family support services.
EARLY EDUCATION TRAINING
We know the importance of early childhood services for the development and growth of children.
Children First Training helps childcare educators grow with expert and affordable professional development courses for staff and educators in the early childhood education and care sector.
Training is primarily held in Western Sydney and is frequented by educators from child care providers throughout the industry – you don’t need to be an educator at our Children First centres to join. Educators travel from all over Sydney and even interstate.
This is where it all began – in 1948 – and we’re still a proud community, not-for-profit organisation providing meaningful childcare services to families in Western Sydney.
