Trisha Nowland is a registered psychologist working both in practice and in academia, with current projects researching in child mental health. Her background includes work in financial, gambling, and family counselling roles across Sydney’s western suburbs, building on her lifelong connection with this area.
Prior to her current roles, she was a CPA working in leadership across commercial and nonprofit spaces, and she has maintained through her work roles an interest in social justice in public policy. She holds degrees in economics and psychology, with a PhD in psychometric modelling. Her experience working with families in the western suburbs that she grew up in brings focus to doing what she can to best support overcoming inequality and putting social capital to use in places where folks can best benefit from it.
