Martha is an experienced health service manager with over 20 years’ experience in the health and Not-For-Profit (NFP) sector.
Martha is a qualified registered nurse, midwife and child & family health nurse with vast & varied clinical experience in public, and private hospitals, academia, community health and NFP sector, working predominantly with at-risk women, children & families.
Martha holds a Master’s degree in health management and recently won the UN Women MBA scholarship to undertake an MBA with the University of Sydney.
Martha is passionate about gender equality, social justice, and daring leadership. Her proudest professional moments have come from seeing direct reports thrive and achieve under her leadership.
Martha has proud Latin-American roots, speaks fluent Spanish and was born in South-West Sydney. Martha still lives in South-West Sydney with her family which includes her husband and 3 daughters. Martha’s background supports her strong drive for evidence and strengths-based approach to the work of growing communities with community.
